Using the Media Details Page

When you want to see more media information than is listed in the Main page or the Manage Media page, you can click the media name to display its Media Details page. The Media Details page displays all of the information about the media, such as the number of episodes and the episode details, as well as allowing you the ability to flush the cache at the episode level. Access the Media Details page using one of the following methods:
The Media Details page displays the information for your selected media.
The name of the media displays at the top of the Media Details page. The media's information is grouped into sections for performance, audience, media information, and VoloMedia iTunes Plug-in code.

Click a checkbox to show or hide a section's information.
Note: You cannot edit or delete the media item using this page.
The Media Performance section contains episode and update information for the current media.

| Field | Description |
| Total Number of Episodes | Number of unique episodes detected.
For content that is not hosted by VoloMedia, the number includes only episodes downloaded at least once via the VoloMedia Plug-in Solution. |
| Date of Last Episode | This is the earliest download date of the most recently detected episode. In most cases, this is the same as the actual publication date for the episode. |
| Downloads | Number of download requests for every episode. |
| Plays | Number of times that an episode was played. |
Click the About Your Audience icon to access the Reports page.

The Episode Details section shows information about each of the episodes for the media and provides an option to flush the cache if necessary. By default, this episode information is hidden from view. To display it, click the View this information check box. Click the check box again to toggle the information display.

This section displays the following information for each episode.
| Field | Description |
| Episode Name | Name as supplied by the RSS feed. |
| Episode Date | This is the earliest download date of the episode. In most cases, it is the same as the actual publication date for the episode. |
| Number of Downloads | Number of times there was a download request for this episode. |
| Number of Listens | Number of times that an episode has been played.
It is the sum of the number of times that the episode is played on a computer for at least 5 seconds and the number of times that the end of the episode is played on an iPod. |
| Options | By clicking on this link (Flush Cache), a real-time request to flush the cache for this episode is made and the status displayed in a pop-up. This pop-up can remain open to view the status of the request in real-time (takes about 30 seconds to 2 minutes to complete with a confirmation message) or it can be closed and the request will be queued. If the request times-out, a notification will appear in the pop-up and in the request history. |

The Media Information section displays the meta information captured from the RSS feed. This information helps your listeners and advertisers find your media, helps your advertisers understand your publication schedule, and provides other details about your media.
Note: If VoloMedia does not host your media and you provide a URL for your RSS, we will attempt to get the information from your RSS file.
By default, the media information is displayed. To hide it from view, click the View this information check box. Click the check box again to toggle the information display.

This section displays the following information.

| Category and Subcategory | Category and subcategory lists match the iTunes list
of browse categories and subcategories.

| Keywords | Words that help users and advertisers find your media. |

Short Description |
Matches the subtitle field in your iTunes
feed.
In iTunes, end users see Short Description in the Description column for your media. |
| Long Description | Matches the summary field in your iTunes
feed.
In iTunes, end users see Long Description if they click the info (circled i) icon displayed in the Description column. |
| Website URL | Web address for your media's web page; click to open
the site in another browser page.
In iTunes, this URL is linked to the arrow in the media name column. |
| Episode Frequency | Identifies how often you intend to add new espisodes.The VoloMedia portal does not require that you publish according to your expected schedule. |
| Explicit Content | Identifies whether your media contains explicit
material.
Note: The iTunes clean category is not provided. |
| Type | Kind of media for this item: Audio or Video. |
| RSS URL | Link to the RSS feed page; click to display the page. |
If you need to make modifications to this information, change it in your RSS feed. The CMP will automatically update the media information to reflect your changes.
By default, ads associated with an episode play before the episode plays. You can customize an RSS feed to include ads during the play or after the episode plays. See Inserting Ad Cues.
If you are a publisher who uses the VoloMedia Plug-in Solution, the Media Details page displays the VoloMedia button code. Copy and paste this Javascript code into your website to display the get podcast button you selected for this media. Your users will click this button to subscribe to your media.
By default, the VoloMedia Code information is displayed. To hide it from view, click the View this information check box. Click the check box again to toggle the information display.
